Welcome to St. Anna Association of Schools
School is a vibrant institution, a place for children to learn and live. School life can be designed. If each and every one contributes, everyone will benefit. It is through this culture of sharing that pupils thrive and form bonds while growing into themselves and begin building their own lives.
Getting to know each other
Small classes have a big effect: we want our pupils to be successful, and we want to convey to them that it is important that they feel well and that we see them as individuals whom we take seriously. We take the time to take care of each child, which is why there is a team of teachers and pedagogues for every class. In such a personable atmosphere learning becomes fun. As a matter of course, we are also making use of innovative teaching and learning methods as well as independent and supervised study time.
Key moments – success means giving it a try
It is the nature of children to be curious. They like to experiment and are open to new experiences. At our schools we pride ourselves in providing them with the opportunities to do so. They can choose from a wide variety of activities including music, sport, arts and crafts or technology. All activities allow our pupils to try something new, gain experience and discover their talents. Most importantly, they can find their own path … as individuals and as a group.
Please take a seat
What are we having today? Our joint lunch is the highlight of every day – for pupils and teachers alike. Our kitchen prepares fresh meals, our pupils set the tables and once everyone is seated, it is time to settle down. During mealtime, our young pupils can enjoy being read to, and the older ones use the occasion to relax and chat.
Everyone is an individual
Who are you and who am I? Once the dress code has been addressed a different kind of attraction comes into play: a smile, a look, the charm … in short all the aspects of a character that create a unique personality.
It is all about personal taste: polo shirts or formal shirts, skirts or trousers, sweaters or jackets available in many colours are as much part of our school uniform as belts and scarves.
Making a conscious choice of getting involved
We cannot take our counterparts’ contribution for granted. However, one’s own contribution should be a matter of course. Mindfulness, respect and an eye for details – if everyone feels responsible and is willing to contribute, everyone benefits. And it shows: in our well‑maintained facilities and our manners.
Room to play
Relaxing and recharging: Our day-to-day school life includes many activities that are all about spending time together, having fun, playing together, and doing sports. Our younger pupils can play in various playing areas, use the facilities at the playground and participate in our many activities. Our older pupils can spend their time off in the cafeteria, our recreational rooms and in the park. During the afternoons they can choose from a wide range of electives including sports, our big band, cooking, wood workshop ...
The very best of our schools: our lessons
As an independent school, we make the most of our opportunities to influence both lessons and schedules to create an ideal environment for pupils to work in a motivated, concentrated and successful manner. Our pupils are supported by teachers and pedagogues helping them discover their own strengths. We offer them the challenges they are looking for at each age. Renowned teaching methods and effective study days help pupils study while they also learn the art of studying.
